Protocol:

1. The Binding capacity of Protein G RAPID RUNTM Agarose Resin depends on the source of the immunoglobulin. 
2. There might be deviations in binding capacities for different immunoglobulins derived from the same species, even if they are of the same subclass. 
3. Maxanim Recombinant Protein G contains only IgG binding domains. 
4. The albumin-binding domain as well as cell wall and cell membrane binding domains of native Protein G have been removed to ensure the maximum specific IgG Binding capacity. 
5. It is produced in E. coli, and has a predicted molecular mass of approximately 21.6 kDa, but it migrates with an apparent molecular mass of 32 kDa in SDS-PAGE. 
6. The pI of Protein G is 4.1 and the pH stability 2 – 10. Optimal binding occurs at pH 5.0, although binding is also good at pH 7.0 – 7.2.
